Housing
for all.
Cleveland Housing Solutions promotes and enables a socially responsible private sector housing model to address the need for quality and affordable housing.
Through a blend of demonstrated practice, research, and advocacy, we are building relationships across private, civic, and nonprofit sectors that will foster a new generation of Equitable Landlords to address one of the most critical needs of our time.
PRACTICE
RESEARCH
ADVOCACY
We own and operate 35+ units of affordable and low-income housing.
Developing a model of practice that provides direct advocacy and stability assistance for our tenants across a
range of needs.
Our qualitative, grounded research
informs academic and practitioner audiences on landlord logics, unintended consequences of public policies, and recommendations for
best practices in the field.
We advocate, build capacity, and provide technical assistance in the design and implementation of programs and policies that improve outcomes for renters.
We believe that equitable landlording should not
be cost prohibitive for small-scale landlords and that having a safe, secure, and affordable home should not be out of reach for low-income renters.
What is
EQUITABLE LANDLORDING?
A set of values-based practices for
operating rental properties that
preserves affordability and quality
of housing for low-to-moderate
income renters while remaining
sustainable for rental property
owners and operators.
